There are over a dozen active requests still accepting submissions on DenSyte right now. Here’s a few of them.

Asian Elephants
More poetry, less behaviour

  • National Geographic Explorer/filmmaker seeking footage of Asian elephants:

    • extreme wide shots walking in a barren landscape

    • aerials

    • reflection-only of elephants in/near water

    • wide shots of shadows of elephants

  • License Type: Exclusive

  • 5 - 15 minutes

The filmmaker has indicated that they are not necessarily looking for behaviour-driven natural history shots here. The more poetic and impressionistic, the better.

This is a request for an EXCLUSIVE license - not necessarily a common request, but one that could be potentially lucrative if you - or someone you know - has some beautiful elephant footage on a hard drive that needs to be seen!

Thick Billed Murres - feeding and chicks
Missing pieces to make a sequence sing

  • Major broadcast series for CBC & PBS seeking footage of:

    • thick-billed murres feeding

    • thick-billed murres chicks

  • License Type: Non-exclusive

  • 30 seconds - 2 minutes

This sequence has been shot and assembled, but these missing pieces could really make it sing. Do you have the goods? Or know someone who might? Submit to DenSyte!

Bears & Wolves hunting salmon
Predator, prey and their role in the environment

  • Feature documentary about the role of salmon-farming in British Columbia, seeking footage of:

    • bears catching salmon

    • bears pulling salmon into forest

    • bears feeding on salmon

    • wolves catching salmon

    • wolves feeding on salmon

  • License Type: Non-exclusive

  • 30 seconds - 2 minutes

The production is specifically looking for this iconic predator/prey interaction within the wide river systems of British Columbia, as opposed to Alaskan rivers. Sound like something you have sitting on a hard-drive? Get it on DenSyte!

A big thanks to all of you already inside the Den - we are just getting started! We’ve been live now for just four months and can see that the platform is working. Requests are coming in and cinematographers are getting opportunities to let their footage shine. We can’t wait for what’s next, and are grateful to have you all along for the ride.
